Our partnership with the University of Minnesota provides access to cutting-edge research, technology, and education and training programs.
We believe in diversity and collaboration, and we celebrate the contributions of every employee. We offer competitive pay and benefits, and we’re passionate about supporting individual career goals and employee well-being.
With 12 academic and community hospitals, more than 110 primary and specialty care clinics, Ebenezer senior housing, long-term care facilities, retail and specialty pharmacies, rehabilitation centers, counseling and home care services, an integrated provider network, and health insurer PreferredOne, we offer endless career growth opportunities.
You have broad access to employment options in 30 communities across Minnesota and in our home base of Minneapolis/St. Paul. When HealthEast joined Fairview in 2017, the combined organization became one of the most comprehensive and geographically accessible health care systems in the state.
We acknowledge and proactively assist patients with the complexity of health care and its many parts. An integrated health system like Fairview enables more coordinated care for our patients, and you can experience a variety of roles and build your career here. We encourage all of our employees to think creatively about their roles — whether a physician, nurse, IT specialist, operations director, or accountant — and take the lead in their own professional development.
Being of service is one of the most important reasons people come to work for Fairview. We are united in driving a healthier future, and it shows in the way we care and advocate for our patients — always putting their needs first.
Ours is a culture of confidence, collaboration, continuous improvement, and respect for people. Employees and providers are empowered to drive innovation and make a difference in their jobs, their fields, and our community. Whether they’re at the bedside caring for a patient or providing functional, technical expertise or leadership, everyone’s opinions matter. Individuals play a critical role in everything we do, from participating in the smallest task to defining how we will provide health care in the future.
We are invested in the health and well-being of our employees. We know that working in health care is both rewarding and challenging — for mind, body, and spirit. We support well-being programs including resiliency, life coaching, and health and wellness activities. We want our people to find fulfillment in their careers and live longer, healthier lives, as they help others to do the same.
DiversityWe are committed to health care that respects the dignity of every person and honors their faith, culture, and community. We welcome providers, professionals, and volunteers with diverse backgrounds, economic statuses, and ages, and seek to maintain policies, practices, and attitudes that are respectful and inclusive.
We’re a stronger organization because of our diversity. By leveraging our diverse strengths, we foster a work environment where people feel valued and respected — and where everyone can be fully engaged and productive.
Equitable careWe offer a holistic approach to caring for both our patients and our employees. We create an inclusive environment where all patients receive high-quality, culturally-responsive, equitable care and all employees are engaged in achieving quality outcomes. Our patients come from many backgrounds and cultures, speak many languages, and practice many religions. No matter what a person's background, it's our job to respect and respond to a person’s culture while providing the best possible care.
In addition to traditional benefits, we have an employee well-being program. A champion network brings well-being programming into our clinics, hospitals, and facilities, supporting employees’ career, spiritual, physical, financial, social, and community well-being. Community Commitment and PartnershipsOur vision of driving a healthier future comes to life when we work beyond the traditional boundaries of health care delivery. Our education and workforce development programs are significant contributors to the health of the residents and students we serve in our communities.
We recognize that the biggest drivers for community health are education and a job with family-sustaining wages. We address equity, education, and job disparities by partnering with community-based organizations, secondary and postsecondary education institutions, community job fairs, and other career events.

Whether you like to spend days at museums, shop, or get outdoors for some exercise, you’ll find it all in the metro area.
If you love the arts, the Twin Cities offers an energetic scene, including theater, music, dance, and visual art. And we like to gather, so there’s always something fun happening — from the ice castles of the Winter Carnival to the summer fun of the Minnesota State Fair.
We’re also well known for our 1,700 lakes in and around the metro area. Not to mention miles of trails, rivers, and parks where you can bike, fish, paddle, and play. Speaking of play, sports fans, we’ve got you covered with professional football, baseball, soccer, hockey, and both men’s and women’s basketball.
And of course, there is the Mall of America and its 400+ shops. If a quaint neighborhood is more your speed, we’ve got those too — and they come with James Beard award-winning restaurants, boutique clothing stores, and lively farmers markets selling fresh, local fare.
